I met Findlay on the HH day at Sheffield, hopefully he is the start of a new generation that are not only interested in the environment but politics too, it's the only way we are going to get any action on conservation of Birds of Prey.

Good luck to them all. Is this statement on the BBC website about Calluna missing Chris "Scotland remains a stronghold for the birds, with 80% of the UK population. Current estimates suggest there are about 600 breeding pairs across the UK."

I hope those that are left manage to stay safe, I'm 95% sure I saw a Hen Harrier in the Derbyshire Peak district Monday of this week.
