Swifts x7 maximum together, swallows and housemartins, sparrows, pied wagtail, grey wagtail, blue tits, great tits, blackbird, mallards, magpies, crows, red-legged partridge & chick, hare and heard curlew calling.

Extremely rich and varied ground flora. Grass Wood is a good place to see birds such as nuthatch, treecreeper, blue, coal and marsh tits, woodcock, a variety of warbler and great spotted woodpecker. Grid ref. (SD 98365)
